Here we go!!!!!

The team camp is upon us. All players are responsible for their own transportation. If you are unable to get there, you must contact a teamate and try and get a ride or contact me. The school has paid for this event and we consider this a Holy Cross Basketball Team Event and attendance is mandatory, as per the basketball season. You must contact me if there is any conflicts. I have included the schedule here and it changes everyday. Please make approriate arrangements. BE AT THE FACILITY every day at 8:40am except Sunday. On sunday there are only games so be there at 12:40pm as it starts at 1:00pm.  Monday-Thursday there is team instruction and drills from 9:00am to 12:00pm followed by games. Bring your own reversible jersey (red and white would be the best). BRING A LUNCH AND LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!

WESTVIEW SS: Take Lougheed or Dewdney Trunk Road eastwards from Pitt

Meadows. Turn off Lougheed at 207th Street and go up

to Dewdney Trunk Road. Turn right. Turn left at 209th Street.

Go up the block to the end. Westview is right there.

***a quick reminder to you all about the costs for next season. We are going on two away trips. One to Vancouver Island and the other to Winnipeg, Manitoba. We also have warm ups and team clothing. Please start saving and prepare accordingly. If there are any problems with any of these events, please contact me directly via email.****

Sorry for the missed weekends but I was on vacation and we couldn’t get the gymnasium opened. We are back this weekend. Sunday July 18th alumni game is on from 12:30-2:00pm. See you there.

I’m looking forward to seeing who is working on their game for the new year. There are a bunch of opportunities over the summer to improve and work on some of your weakness’. Coach Pezzente has agreed to open the gym on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:00am to 8:30am for anyone that wants to get better. This is a great chance to go through individual workouts and improve your skills. There is also a weekly alumni game that is open to senior basketball players as well. It runs every Sunday from 12:30pm-2:00pm. This is a another chance to work on your decision making skills and game like situations. The Pitt Meadows Team Camp is mandatory that you attend. It is free to attend. This is the first time we get to see the team in a real competitive environment and a perfect chance to show the coaches that you deserve to be a major contributor next season. The Pitt Meadows Team Camp runs all day from Aug. 15th-20th. You will have to arrange your own transportation. Hopefully I will see many of you out to these as this season should be the most competitive for playing time. There are alot of players fighting for depth chart spots. See you soon.

Our Alumni Basketball game on Sunday, June 20th  is on. The Baker brothers have found someone to open up the gym. Thanks guys.  Have a good run and I will see you all next week. Happy Father’s Day.

Congratulations to all participants this season. We have seen alot of improvement in all of you. We look forward to picking up in the new school year where we are leaving off. We hope you all have a great summer. There are many great opportunities in the summer time at some basketball camps.
